Its been almost a month since "Control" (HOF) by Big Sean dropped, which featured a controversial verse from KDot which shook the game & gave rise to real hip hop (also to a few rappers) again.. Many dudes jumped in on the instrumental & did their own mix cos either they took offence or wanted to kiss Kendric Lamar's *beep* - you know what.
Last night, South Coasts very own Why Not? (cash prize winner of IN_TYMs #RaiseTheBar), also decided to jump on it, not taking offence but rather offense & trust me hard shots were fired up in here, some are subliminal & some are straight up! "Uku-skeem(a) umnt' ontswempu akushukuthi naw' untswempu/ aniyeke ooMalume ba run(e) iGame banishiyele iStamp(u)/ & that goes to Da Manece, no Constellation/Infinity Rhymes, King K Bones, Gongqongqo/ Tidoz, Nitro, Maestro & the Mad Dog/ I got love for you kodwa iVaar ni wack majita" he spits. The idea behind the verse is not originally his but clearly he's had this on lock for long on his chest, & this was a way & chance for venting - but was it a good move though?
So far there hasn't been a response yet (except for sulky web posts & groupie posts), but I'm very sure there is one coming for claiming to be King of South Coast Hip Hop (unless he's talking about the FB group - you know, there's internet kings these days & real life kings) & also the best kasi rapper or rep-er (representer)!
But this remix is straight up heat, everything is on point including the role he plays with KDot's flows, so we got WhyDot now *giggle*
